Q3 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Williamson County?

There were 45 offenders released on parole during the third quarter that live in Williamson County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows that 38 men and seven women were released in Williamson County. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old man sentenced for a property crime in 2016, and the oldest was a 75-year-old man sentenced for a sex crime in 2008.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Kenneth D. Gravatt. He was convicted of a property crime in 1990 when he was 25 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the third quarter in each Williamson County municipality.
