Q1 2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in Williamson County?

There were 37 offenders released on parole during the first quarter that live in Williamson County, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows that 36 men and one woman were released in Williamson County. The median age of the parolees was 39. The youngest parolee was a 22-year-old woman sentenced for a property crime in 2017, and the oldest was a 61-year-old man sentenced for a crime involving alcohol in 2017.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Bryon Demons. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 1999 when he was 34 years old. He is now 54.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below gives a breakdown of how many offenders were paroled in the first quarter in each Williamson County municipality.
