The Williamson County budget was $74.50 million for its 2017 fiscal year.

That's an increase of 5.9 percent from 2016, when the county spent $70.38 million.

Williamson County has a population of 67,328.

Since 2004, the Williamson County budget has grown by 26.5 percent, from $58.87 million. The county population has grown 6.7 percent over the same period, from 63,094.

Salaries accounted for 14.1 percent of county spending in 2017. Williamson County property taxpayers paid $10.50 million for 250 full-time employees and 10 part-time employees.

In 2004, the county had 325 full-time employees and 25 part-time employees, and spent $12.29 million.
