De Soto home prices rise in 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in 2017 in De Soto rose by $10,100 while total sales increased by 17.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through December of 2017, there were 20 homes sold, with a median sale price of $63,000 - a 19.1% increase over the $52,900 median sale price for the previous year. There were 17 homes sold in De Soto in 2016.

The median sales tax in De Soto for 2017 was $1,754. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,754, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.8%.
