Murphysboro home prices rise in the second quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the second quarter of 2018 in Murphysboro rose by $11,400 while total sales increased by 5.1%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From April through June of 2018, there were 41 homes sold, with a median sale price of $78,900 - a 16.9% increase over the $67,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 39 homes sold in Murphysboro in the second quarter of 2017.
