1. T. J. Warren – Polar Plunge Event for Special Olympics of Illinois March 2, 2019.

Council to discuss/ approve donation to the “Copsicles” Polar Plunge Event for Special Olympics of Illinois.

Abatement of General Real Estate Tax Levies for General Obligation Refunding Bonds

2. Approval of the following Resolutions providing the County of Williamson with abatement of real estate tax levies on the listed General Obligation Refunding Bonds for the City of Marion.

a. Resolution No. 2019-01 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2015 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $1,417,964.50.

b. Resolution No. 2019-02 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2007 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $127,078.75.

c. Resolution No. 2019-03 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2017 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $265,275.00.

d. Resolution No. 2019-04 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2011A for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $366,792.50.

e. Resolution No. 2019-05 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2011 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $230,499.12.

f. Resolution No. 2019-06 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2012 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $238,232.50.

g. Resolution No. 2019-07 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2013 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $1,389,960.00.

h. Resolution No. 2019-08 Abating General Obligation Refunding Bonds, Series 2014 for the 2018 tax year, due and payable in 2019, in the amount of $992,050.00.

Code Enforcement Department

3. Council discussion / approval to purchase 2015 Ford Escape from Absher Arnold in the amount of $14,000.00 for Code Inspector Brian Van Horn. (Budgeted item).

4. Ordinance 3492 – Ordinance authorizing City of Marion to enter into a loan agreement with from First Southern Bank with a 3 year fixed rate of 3.24% for the amount of $14,000.00 to cover the purchase of the 2015 Ford Excape for the Code Inspector.

Treasurer’s Office

5. Council to discuss and approve giving Rianne Robeson incremental increases starting six months from her hire date to her two-year anniversary in order to progress to the same rate as the current Account Technician.

Sewer Department

6. Council / discussion of 15 inch sewer line repair, located in the HUB TIF. The line already has a hole in it and has created a sinkhole in the parking lot of Byassee Keyboard. Skuta Construcion has submitted a proposal for $19,500.00 to do the work.

7. Council approval of Fifth Street and Brady Street Sewer bids.

County 911 Board

8. a. Council approval to re-appoint Jerry Odum to the Williamson County 911 Board for a three year term as a City of Marion representative.

b. Council approval to appoint Assistant Police Chief Tina Morrow to fill the un-expired term of Police Chief Dawn Tondini’s position on the Williamson County 911 Board as a City of Marion representative.

Fire Department

9. Council approval of the retirement of Captain Bruce Plumer from the Fire Department effective as of May 31, 2019 after 30 years of service.

10. Council approval for Marion Fire and Police Merit Board to fill vacant Fire Fighter position made necessary by the retirement of Captain Bruce Plumer.

11. Council approval for Marion Fire and Police Merit Board to make promotions in the Fire Department made necessary by the retirement of Captain Bruce Plumer.

Street Department

12. Council approval of bid for Hill Avenue and North Carbon Street Roundabout.

HUB Recreation Center

19. ORDINANCE 3487 – Adopting Tax Increment Allocation Financing for the Marion North Commerccial Tax Increment Financing District.
