Southern Illinois University PA program recently issued the following announcement.

ThinkFirst, an injury prevention program at SIU Medicine, is offering its annual poinsettia fundraiser. Proceeds help purchase new bike helmets and car seats for those in need.

Poinsettias, Christmas cacti and cyclamen will be available in various sizes and colors with prices ranging from $6 to $26.

Orders are due by 4:30 pm, Tuesday, Nov. 27. To place an order, download and print the form and mail to ThinkFirst SIU School of Medicine, PO Box 19604, Springfield, IL 62794-9604, or scan and email to Nancy Kyrouac, nkyrouac@siumed.edu. Please make checks payable to Shelby County Community Services. Payment is also accepted at the time of pickup.

Plants will be available for pickup 10am-5pm, Tuesday, Dec. 4, in room 1010 at the north entrance of 913 N. Rutledge St., Springfield. A limited number of extra plants will be available for pickup.
