The Board of Education meeting was called to order by President Paul Copeland at 7:01 p.m. with the following members present:

Motion made by Matt Shackleton, seconded by Jessica Piper, to approve the agenda. Motion carried.

Motion made by Tommie Smith, seconded Jessica Piper, to approve the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting on May 21, 2018, as presented. Motion carried.

Motion made by Jessica Piper, seconded by Matt Shackleton, to authorize the payment of bills as presented. Roll call vote:

No action was taken in closed session.

Motion made by Jessica Piper, seconded by Tommie Smith, to accept the letter of intent to retire from Tom Smith. Motion carried.

Motion made by Jessica Piper, seconded by Fern Martin, to approve the transfer of Susan Szymcek from 5th grade teacher to 2nd grade teacher. Motion carried.

Motion made by Tommie Smith, seconded by Jessica Piper, to employ Leah Warren as a teacher for the 2018- 2019 school year. Motion carried.

Motion made by Fern Martin, seconded by Tommie Smith, to employ Ben Doan as head baseball coach for the 2018 season. Motion carried.

Motion made by Matt Bowlby, seconded by Fern Martin, to employ Shawn Fulmer as the head softball coach for the 2018 softball season. Motion carried.

Motion made by Tommie Smith, seconded by Matt Shackleton, to employ Jessica Hayes as EOC aide for the 2018-2019 school year. Motion carried.

Motion made by Matt Shackleton, seconded by Matt Bowlby, to adopt a resolution to transfer $200,000 from the Ed Fund to the Building Fund. Roll call vote:

PRESS POLICY #98 FIRST READING

Mr. Wilson discussed a possibility of sharing a Jackson County Resource Office with other Jackson County Schools for the upcoming school year. More information will be available at upcoming meetings.
