Carbondale Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.
Stephen Hale has lived in his home at 1990 Stephens Road for 26 years, and entertained his neighbors with his attention to landscaping, including holiday decorating. The nominator noted how he put in a fountain and surrounded it with flowers and greenery. The Keep Carbondale Beautiful board gave it a Bright Spot Award for August. The entry way is flanked by hummingbird vine (aka cypress vine) and crepe myrtle.
The KCB Board selects businesses or residences to receive the Bright Spot Award for enhancing the beauty of our community by means of revitalization of property, new construction, plantings and beautification, upkeep and maintenance, or rehabilitation.
