Anne West Lindsey library trustees investigate security camera placement

The Anne West Lindsey District Library Board of Trustees met Sept. 27 to investigate security camera placement.

Here are the meeting's minutes, as provided by the board:

Anne West Lindsey District Library Board of Trustees Meeting

September 27, 2016

All board members were present although Bill Slider was delayed. Staff members

attending were Mary Stoner, Pam Alstat, and Dave Cole. Guests attending were Jerry

Humble and Bruce Wallace.

The meeting was called to order at 7 p.m. by board vice-president Butch Waggoner

and a quorum was determined.

The agenda was approved with a motion made by Jim Koonce; seconded by Sheri

Hunter.

Minutes from the August 23, 2016 meeting were read and approved with a motion

made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Elaine Miskell.

Bruce Wallace from AGE, Affordable Gas and Electric, updated us on natural gas and

electric aggregation.

A motion was made by Elaine Miskell; seconded by Debbie Johnson to investigate

security camera/s and placement for the Library.

The financial secretary’s report was presented by Dave Cole and accepted with a

motion made by Jim Koonce; seconded by Pat Searcy.

The library director’s report was presented by Mary Stoner and accepted with a

motion made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Elaine Miskell.

A motion was made by Butch Waggoner; seconded by Jim Koonce to change our

accounting period from the beginning to the end of the month starting January 1,

2017.

A motion was made by Debbie Johnson; seconded by Butch Waggoner to accept

Section XI of the Policy Manual, Material Selection and Collection Development.

A motion was made by Elaine Miskell; seconded by Butch Waggoner to set aside

$100,000 for a special project.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45 p.m. with a motion by Butch Waggoner;

seconded by Jim Koonce.

The next regular board meeting will be at 7 p.m. on October 25, 2016.
