Anthony De Schutter has been named the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Golfer of the Week for the third time this season and the fourth time in his career, according to an announcement from the conference on Friday.
De Schutter recently secured his third victory of the season at the Purdue Fall Invitational. This achievement makes him only the second golfer in Southern Illinois Salukis history to win three tournaments in a single season. The golfer from Bree, Belgium, is currently ranked 95th nationally and holds the highest ranking among MVC players.
The Southern Illinois Salukis men's golf team will conclude their fall schedule with a trip to Hawaii, where they will compete in the Ka'anapali Classic starting Monday, October 27.
