Southern Illinois University men's basketball head coach Scott Nagy has announced staff promotions ahead of the 2025-26 season. Tae Gibbs and Darreon Reddick have been named assistant coaches, while Justin Endsley will serve as deputy assistant to the head coach.

"We're thrilled to reward the hard work and commitment Tae, Darreon and Justin have demonstrated," Nagy said. "They've each made a meaningful impact on our program and will continue to be vital in the growth and development of our student-athletes."

Gibbs is entering his second year with Southern Illinois. He will continue his role as offensive coordinator during games. Before joining SIU, Gibbs worked at Wright State for three seasons as director of player development under Nagy. During his time there, he contributed to five all-league selections and played a part in Wright State's 2022 Horizon League Championship win and their first NCAA Division I Tournament victory.

In 2024, Wright State led the nation in field goal percentage at 53.3 percent, ranked second in effective field goal percentage (58.5), fifth in two-point percentage (58.8), tenth in three-point percentage (38.3), and averaged 86.5 points per game—fourth best nationally.

Prior to Wright State, Gibbs coached at Trevecca Nazarene University for three years, becoming associate head coach after initially joining before the 2018-19 season. He also spent one season as an assistant at Wheaton College.

Reddick is also starting his second year with SIU after working on staff last season. Previously, he was an assistant coach at SIU Edwardsville for one year where he helped guide the team to a 17-16 record and a trip to the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament; two players earned All-OVC honors during that period.

Before SIUE, Reddick spent two seasons coaching at Missouri S&T where he helped lead them to their first winning season in nearly three decades during 2022-23. As interim head coach for five games that year, he recorded a 3-2 record including wins over UMSL and tournament champion McKendree. His experience also includes time as an assistant at Northern Oklahoma College-Enid.

As a player, Reddick was a four-year letterwinner at Tennessee State from 2014 through 2018, appearing in over one hundred games with more than one hundred starts.

Endsley enters his third full-time season with Southern Illinois after being promoted following two years as director of basketball operations. His responsibilities include working closely with coaching staff daily, overseeing student managers, organizing recruiting visits, coordinating across athletics departments such as academics and facilities management, managing team travel logistics and schedules, running camps, and leading community outreach programs.

Endsley graduated from SIU in 2023 after serving four years as a student manager—including promotion to head manager—and represented college hosts twice at national leadership summits hosted by NFHS before graduating magna cum laude with a degree in sports administration.
