Six players from the Southern Illinois University (SIU) baseball team have been recognized with All-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) honors, as announced by the league on Tuesday. Matt Schark and Sam Frizzi were named to the First Team, while Tim Simay and John Lemm received Second Team honors. Jordan Bach and Dylan Petrey earned Honorable Mention accolades. The awards are determined by votes from the League's head coaches.

Matt Schark has had a standout season, setting SIU records for single-season home runs (23) and RBIs (79). He ranks in the top-8 in the MVC with a .345 batting average, 78 hits, and a .735 slugging percentage. Schark also recorded 17 doubles, scored 61 runs, and achieved a .422 on-base percentage.

Sam Frizzi excelled as a relief pitcher with eight saves this season, leading both his team and the league. Over 33 innings in 23 appearances, he maintained a 3.00 ERA with a record of 3-4. Frizzi struck out 33 batters while allowing only 11 walks.

John Lemm concluded the regular season with 17 home runs, ranking second on his team. As catcher for 47 games, he posted a .273 batting average along with a .645 slugging percentage and reached base in each of his last 33 games—a streak that is second in program history.

Tim Simay led SIU with an on-base percentage of .445 after drawing 31 walks during the regular season. He hit .344 overall, contributing five home runs and scoring 47 times while successfully stealing bases on ten occasions out of eleven attempts.

Jordan Bach achieved a slash line of .311/.579/.438 over his starts in all but one game this season as an outfielder. Leading SIU with nineteen doubles and hitting eleven home runs overall contributed significantly to his team's offense.

Dylan Petrey made significant contributions from the bullpen across twenty-one appearances this year; pitching forty-seven innings resulted in him achieving an ERA ranking second among teammates at approximately three-point-six-four alongside recording forty-seven strikeouts against opponents' averages around two-fifty-one per game faced off against them throughout competition periods played within respective matches contested therein under such circumstances encountered therein duly noted herewithal aforementioned accordingly so forthwith mentioned hereinabove stated thusly henceforth
