The Southern Illinois University (SIU) men's golf team is set to participate in the Hawkeye Invitational on April 13, marking their final tournament before the Missouri Valley Conference Championship. The event will be hosted by Iowa at the Finkbine Golf Course, which measures 7,280 yards and has a par of 72.
The SIU team will consist of Anthony De Schutter, Oliver Ulrich, Carsen Silliman, Leon Heitz, Frank Bellino, and individual golfer Cy Norman. They will compete against 12 other teams, including host Iowa, and regional rivals Kansas, Northern Illinois, and other notable programs.
"The Salukis were slated to compete in the Hoosier Collegiate on April 5 but was unable to compete due to the tournament being canceled due to weather," read the team's press release. This tournament will provide the Salukis an opportunity to prepare before the MVC Championship in Des Moines, Iowa.
