Today marks the beginning of the Men's NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Washington, where Southern Illinois University's Alex Santiago will compete in three events from Thursday to Saturday.
The event schedule includes preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. PST each day, followed by finals at 6:03 p.m. PST. The competitions will be available for live results on NCAA.com or Meet Mobile and can be watched on ESPN+.
Santiago recently competed at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships held from February 19-22, where Southern Illinois secured second place. Santiago excelled with six gold medals in various events including the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard butterfly. His achievements earned him the title of MVC Swimmer of the Year.
During the Men's NCAA Championships, Santiago will participate in the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday, March 27, followed by the 100-yard butterfly on Friday, March 28, and concluding with the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
