U.S. Representative Mike Bost, who serves as the chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs, has publicly supported a recent decision by VA Secretary Doug Collins. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will begin to phase out medical treatments for transgender individuals.
In his statement, Rep. Bost expressed his views on the matter: "The Department of Veterans Affairs shouldn't be a battlefield in the Left's war on truth - and our taxpayer dollars shouldn't pay for transgender treatments at the VA." He emphasized his belief in "two God-given genders with unique needs and differences" and commended President Donald Trump for what he described as restoring common sense at the VA.
Rep. Bost stated that under President Trump's leadership, there is a refocus on serving America's veterans effectively without diverting resources to areas he believes are unnecessary.
