Mia Sinkiewicz has been recognized as a winner of the 2025 Winter State Farm Missouri Valley Conference Good Neighbor Award. She is among 12 athletes from various Valley winter sports to receive this accolade.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must maintain good academic standing, show good citizenship through sportsmanship and community service, and participate in a sport during the recognition season.
Sinkiewicz holds a cumulative GPA of 3.67 in Biological Science: Pre-Physician Assistant. She has consistently made the MVC Honor Roll since 2021 and was part of SIU's College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American Teams in 2021, 2023, and 2024.
Her community service includes assisting with freshman move-in and providing swim lessons to preschoolers. Additionally, she has engaged in activities such as the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, canned food drives, and the Beach Sweep Clean-up. Sinkiewicz also serves as a Salukis Success guest speaker and is a member of SAAC.
