U.S. Representative Mike Bost from Illinois' 12th district has been sworn in to serve in the 119th Congress. In a statement, Bost expressed gratitude for the opportunity to represent his constituents. "This kid from Murphysboro, Illinois, has been blessed beyond measure to serve the people and land I love," he said.
Bost emphasized collaboration with House Republicans and President Trump to tackle significant issues such as border security, national safety, tax relief, and reducing government size. He assured Southern Illinois residents of his commitment: "Through it all, Southern Illinoisans have my word I’ll always fight for the values that make our district and our country great."
He concluded by expressing readiness to begin his duties: "I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get back to work."
