My HealtheVet, a portal for VA health care, is updating its sign-in process in 2025. Veterans using the Marion VA Health Care System are advised to switch their login methods by January 31, 2025. Currently, about 6,000 veterans use this system regularly.
The portal enables veterans to manage prescriptions, appointments, and secure messaging with providers. By January 31, traditional usernames and passwords will no longer be valid for My HealtheVet access. Similarly, DS Logon credentials will be phased out by September 30.
Veterans must transition to either Login.gov or ID.me accounts for continued access. To assist in this transition, the VA has developed an online resource with tips on setting up these accounts and troubleshooting common issues.
Despite these changes, veterans can still manage their care in person or over the phone. For further assistance or questions regarding the new sign-in options, veterans can contact My HealtheVet Coordinator Will DuVall at (618) 364-2423.
