U.S. Representative Mike Bost has been confirmed by the House Republican Conference to serve another two-year term as chairman of the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs. Bost expressed his gratitude for the trust placed in him by his colleagues.

"It is a deep honor to have the trust of my colleagues to continue leading the House Committee on Veterans’ Affairs," said Bost. He highlighted the progress made by House Republicans for veterans and their families over the past two years and expressed eagerness to work with the incoming Trump administration. "We’re going to restore our veterans’ trust in the VA while continuing our work to bring the agency into the 21st Century," he added. Bost emphasized that this mission is personal, given his background as a Marine and his family's military service.

Bost's new term will commence when he is sworn in for the 119th Congress on January 3rd. This will be his second consecutive term as chairman, following a previous term as ranking member of the committee.
