A. MOTION TO APPROVE THE CONSENT AGENDA THAT INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:
1. THE MINUTES FROM THE NOVEMBER 6, 2024 CITY COUNCIL MEETING
2. THE MINUTES FROM THE OCTOBER 16, 2024 EXECUTIVE SESSION MEETING
3. THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLES DATED NOVEMBER 15, 2024
4. APPROVE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 6, CHAPTER 2, STOPPING, STANDING, AND PARKING, SECTION 9 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF GENOA
This ordinance creates a no parking zone on West First Street on the east (bound) side from West Main Street to Adams Street. This no parking area was discussed at the November 6, 2024 meeting due to visual obstructions and traffic concerns parking in this area is currently causing.
VII. NEW BUSINESS
A. RECOMMENDATION FROM THE WASTEWATER TREATMENT COMMITTEE REGARDING A WASTEWATER FACILITY MASTER PLAN
The Wastewater Treatment Committee (WTC) has been discussing creating additional capacity for wastewater treatment. During these conversations, the WTC has obtained a proposal for a Wastewater Facility Master Plan. This Master Plan will contemplate needed improvements and where efficiencies and new technology can be implemented, with the possible contemplation of expansion or regionalization.
B. PRESENTATION FROM CHRISTOPHER OTT OF ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES, INC. REGARDING THE CITY’S PAVEMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
E.E.I. will be outlining best practices for pavement management, the current conditions of the City’s streets, the need for a 5-year pavement management program, and possible revenue sources to fund the needed improvements,
