Southern Illinois Women's Volleyball team faced a challenging match against Northern Iowa on Senior Night in Carbondale. The Salukis recognized the contributions of seniors Brinley Burdette, Anna Jaworski, and Maggie Wallenberger, who will graduate at the end of the 2024 season.

Northern Iowa maintained its undefeated record in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), improving to 22-7 overall and 17-0 in MVC play. The Salukis, now 10-18 overall and 3-14 in MVC play, struggled against a strong UNI team.

Kelly Franklin led Southern Illinois with five kills. Avery Parris contributed by blocking three attacks, while Ema Stermenska added eight assists and two aces.

The first two sets saw limited lead changes as Northern Iowa took early control. Despite a stronger effort from Southern Illinois in the third set, UNI closed out the match by scoring eight of the last ten points. The Panthers secured their victory with set scores of 25-10, 25-13, and 25-16.

Looking ahead, Southern Illinois will conclude its regular season with an away game against Missouri State on Wednesday, November 20.
