The Southern Illinois men's and women's swimming and diving teams are preparing to host the 2024 A3 Performance Invitational. The event is scheduled from Thursday, November 14, through Saturday, November 16, at Shea Natatorium in Carbondale, Illinois.

The invitational will feature seven schools, including two Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) schools. Participating teams include Omaha, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Southern Indiana, Bellarmine, and Indiana State (diving only).

The Southern Illinois women's team remains undefeated in the MVC after their recent victory over Illinois State. However, they faced a defeat against Illinois on November 1. During that meet, Olivia Herron set MVC, program, and pool records in the 200 IM. Susana Hernandez also established a new program record in the 200 freestyle. In diving events for the Salukis women’s team, Farida Moussa secured third place with a top finish in the three-meter dive.

On the men's side of Southern Illinois' team roster comes into this invitational off a victory over UIC on October 26 with a score of 187-111. Alex Santiago achieved first-place finishes in all four of his events against UIC's Flames while newcomer Willem Huggins mirrored that success by sweeping his four events as well. Divers Oliver Mebs and Lee Haywood have both reached NCAA qualifying scores.
