Bradley sweeps Southern Illinois in women's volleyball match

Southern Illinois University's women's volleyball team faced a challenging match against Bradley University, resulting in a sweep at the Renaissance Arena in Peoria, Illinois. The Salukis, with a season record of 10-16 and 3-12 in the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC), were led by Annabelle Sulish, who contributed seven kills. Anna Jaworski and Ema Stermenska both provided 11 assists for the team. Senior player Maggie Wallenberger added four kills to the effort.

The Braves improved their record to 13-14 overall and 8-7 in MVC play with this victory. They took control early, securing the first set with a decisive 25-9 win. In the second set, Southern Illinois kept pace initially but ultimately fell behind as Bradley claimed a 25-17 victory. The third set mirrored previous patterns, with Bradley executing successful runs of five and four consecutive points to seal the match with a 25-13 win.

Looking ahead, Southern Illinois will return home for senior weekend starting Friday against Drake at Davies Gym.
