The Southern Illinois University (SIU) men's and women's cross-country teams are set to compete in the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, October 18. The event will take place at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Illinois. The men's 8K race is scheduled for 3:00 p.m., followed by the women's 6K race at 3:45 p.m.

The men's team comprises five runners: freshmen Ben Chance, Will Foltz, and Ben Morgan; junior Westen Jokerst; and graduate student Uriah Guthrie.

On the women's side, the team consists of eight athletes: freshmen Kyla Engel and Riley Linville; sophomores Brodie Denny and Hannah Meiser; junior Audrey Boles; senior Brianna Nieset; and graduate student Britany Zeimer. Zeimer will make her season debut for the Salukis, joining Hannah Eastman as a medical student with limited availability for the season. Both athletes are expected to compete in next week's MVC Championship.

The Salukis aim to gain momentum in Peoria ahead of their participation in the MVC Championship on November 1 in Cedar Falls, Iowa. In their previous outing at the Mizzou Gans Creek Classic, SIU faced tough competition but delivered strong performances. Junior Weston Jokerst led the men's team with a time of 25:18.4 in an 8K race, while sophomore Hannah Meiser was the top performer for the women with a time of 22:12.3 in a 6K race.

Live race results can be accessed online.
