Southern Illinois Men's Golf concluded the Badger Invitational on Tuesday, securing 13th place out of 16 teams. The team finished with a score of 903 (+39), trailing tournament champion Northern Illinois by 48 strokes.

Head Coach Justin Fetcho shared his perspective on the team's performance.

"We did not perform to our abilities, we were unable to replicate what we do at practice into the competition," Fetcho said. "We have to become more comfortable at home if we want to be able to perform on the road."

Anthony De Schutter led the Salukis, tying for 17th place with a score of 217 (+1). He started strong, shooting 71 (-1) in the first two rounds and finishing with a score of 75 (+3) in round three.

The rest of the Salukis' standings at the Badger Invitational are as follows:

- Oliver Ulrich: Tied for 45th place (+9, 225)

- Leon Heitz: Tied for 77th place (+17, 233)

- Frank Bellino: Tied for 80th place (+20, 236)

- Lucas Lasley: Tied for 84th place (+22, 238)

"We do not have a lot of experience on our team when it comes to competing in major D1 events," Fetcho said. "We have to learn and grow from this experience and become better in the long run."

The next event for Southern Illinois Men's Golf is the Everett Buick GMC Classic in Little Rock, Arkansas, scheduled for October 14.
