Salukis cross country teams excel at SEMO season opener

CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO. – The Salukis Cross Country teams completed their season opener at the SEMO RedHawks XC invite on Friday. The women's team scored 45 points, securing second place, while the men's team accumulated 77 points, finishing in third place.

The women's team saw strong performances with three top-10 finishes. Hannah Eastman made a notable debut for the Salukis by finishing second with a time of 18:04.50, just 14 seconds behind the leader. Brianna Nieset and Hannah Meiser followed closely, placing fifth and eighth respectively.

The men's team also performed well with two top-10 finishes. Uriah Guthrie led the team by finishing fourth with a time of 15:46.749. Freshman Will Foltz marked his debut by finishing seventh with a time of 15:52.245.
