Williamson County Board of Commissioners met May 30.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Thursday, May 30, 2024 at 9:02 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Jim Rasor, Commissioner

Whiteash sewer credit for Kenny Ellis was skipped and will be put on the next meeting agenda.

Brian Ziegler, Horner & Shifrin, was present to discuss funds needed to finish Whiteash project and gave an update on Freeman Spur project. No action taken.

Commissioners discussed grant writer, auditor and county highway engineer positions. There will be a meeting June 6th, to interview candidates for the engineer position.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Raffle and Poker Run License Application for Motorcycle Riders Memorial. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving RESOLUTION NO. 24-05-30-74 ELECTED COUNTY OFFICIALS SALARIES. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea; Jim Marlo, Abstain. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Travel Reimbursement in the amount of $470.01 for Jim Marlo. Roll call vote was taken as follows:

Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Abstain; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.

ARPA claim for Marion Park District was presented for signatures.

Commissioner Marlo mentioned the County Wide Cleanup that is taking place on June 8th, 2024 from 8-12.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor to adjourn meeting. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
