The Southern Illinois University swimming and diving program has earned national recognition from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its academic achievements. Under the leadership of head coach Geoff Hanson, both the men's and women's teams received Scholar All-America honors for the 2024 spring semester.
To qualify for this distinction, teams were required to achieve a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 during the Spring 2024 semester. The women's team distinguished itself further by attaining a GPA of 3.53, exceeding the 3.30 threshold.
