Rep. Severin Welcomes EmmaLee “Emmy” Williams, Founder of Enfield’s WP Meat Company to House Republican Women’s Leadership Conference

State Rep. Dave Severin welcomed EmmaLee “Emmy” Williams, the founder of Enfield’s WP Meat Company, to Springfield for a House Republican-sponsored “Emerging Women Leaders” conference. Williams shared her story of hard work and success with other women leaders from throughout Illinois, emphasizing the importance of following one's dreams and making a positive impact on the community.

During the conference, Rep. Severin expressed his admiration for Williams, stating, “She’s creating jobs, she’s leading her community, Emmy is a great example to anyone that works hard to follow their dreams, be their own boss, and make the world around them a better place.”

Williams, who purchased the Enfield Packing Plant in 2023 and rebranded it as WP Meat Company, highlighted the company's commitment to providing a true farm-to-table experience. She stated, “We are truly a meat company. We raise and process the meat ourselves making it a true farm to table experience.”

Reflecting on her experience at the conference, Williams expressed gratitude towards Rep. Severin for the opportunity to share her story and connect with other successful women leaders. She remarked, “It was great to share my story and to hear from so many successful women leaders from throughout the state. I was inspired by stories of hard work, hard times, and ultimately, success.”

In conclusion, Williams thanked Rep. Dave Severin for the invitation to participate in the 2024 Emerging Women Leader’s Conference in Springfield and conveyed her hope to inspire other women leaders to engage in their communities and work diligently to achieve their aspirations.
