Cities in Williamson County: 12 lawyers in good standing were registered as of January

There were 12 lawyers in good standing in cities located within Williamson County as of January, according to the ARDC of the Supreme Court of Illinois.

The number of lawyers in good standing remained the same when compared to the previous month.

Data shows that Carterville recorded five lawyers in good standing in January, the highest number within Williamson County during that period.

Illinois ranks among the top five states in terms of lawyer-to-person ratio, with approximately five lawyers per thousand residents. This ratio is slightly higher than the national average ratio of four lawyers per thousand residents.

There are 10 cities in Illinois where lawyers make more than the statewide average salary. Chicago tops the list, with lawyers earning nearly $21,000 more than lawyers in other areas of the state.

Data refers to all lawyers who were actively practicing during this period.
