Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 12.

The Williamson County Board of Commissioners met Tuesday December 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the Williamson County Administrative Building Boardroom, Marion, Illinois, in a meeting of the Williamson County Board of Commissioners with the following members present:

Tim Atkisson, Commissioner

Jim Marlo, Commissioner

Jim Rasor, Commissioner

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving consent agenda. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Discussion had on Paid Leave Act. Attorney, Rhett Barke will get the policy drafted.

Earthquake coverage and Hope Trust Board Member will be discussed at a later board meeting.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, nominating Tim Atkisson as the selection for Chairman. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Abstain; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present two voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Cambria. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Stonefort. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the City of Creal Springs. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Marlo and seconded by Jim Rasor, approving Animal Control Intergovernmental Agreement between Williamson County and the Village of Freeman Spur. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving contract for Public Defender, Meagan Rich in the amount of $45,320. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Jim Rasor and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 23-12-14-115 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE WILLIAMSON COUNTY CIRCUIT CLERK AND WILLIAMSON COUNTY STATE’S ATTORNEY’S EXECUTION OF AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE ILLINOIS OFFICE OF THE COMPTROLLER AND THE COUNTY OF WILLIAMSON REGARDING ACCESS TO THE COMPTROLLER’S LOCAL DEBT RECOVERY PROGRAM. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.

Motion made by Tim Atkisson and seconded by Jim Marlo, approving RESOLUTION NO. 23-12-12-117 GREATER EGYPT REGIONAL PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION. Roll call vote was taken as follows: Tim Atkisson, Yea; Jim Marlo, Yea; Jim Rasor, Yea. All members present voting Yea; motion carried.
