B. EMPLOYMENT
1) HUB RECREATION CENTER
Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Rizza Poblete as part-time Group Exercise Instructor $18.00/hour, and Fitness Attendant $13.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.
Approve the recommendation of the General Manager to hire Braxton Kincheloe as part-time Fitness Attendant $13.00/hour, Basketball Sports Staff $13.00/hour, and Tackle Football Staff $13.00/hour, pending results of pre-employment requirements.
2) PUBLIC AFFAIRS
Approve the recommendation of the Chief of Staff to hire Jason Monteith to the open Custodian position for City Hall; a budgeted position.
3) STREET DEPARTMENT
Approve the recommendation of the Superintendent to hire Zach Phillips to an open, full-time, Laborer positions; terms per the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
4) MARION CULTURAL & CIVIC CENTER
Approve the recommendation of the Director to hire Kameron Hickey to an open part-time Custodian position at $13/hour.
C. MINUTES
1) Discuss/Approve minutes from the August 28, 2023 city council meeting.
NEW BUSINESS
5. TREASURER'S OFFICE
A. Discuss/Approve the recommendation of Commissioner Patton to hire Lance Roye as Treasurer to fill the vacancy created by Steve Hale's upcoming retirement at the end of FY24.
6. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND MUNICIPAL PLANNING
A. Discuss/Approve Ordinance 3913 terminating TIF I.
B. Discuss/Adopt Resolution 2023-13 approving and authorizing financial commitment in the 2023 Safe Routes to Schools Program.
7. PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
A. Discuss/Adopt Resolution 2023-14 requesting a permit from Illinois Department of Transportation to construct, occupy, and maintain a 10" water main under IL 148 at the intersections of EMA Road and Flatts School Road.
8. PUBLIC AFFAIRS
A. Discuss/Approve the proposal from iWorq for Public Works & Street Department software suite. B. Discuss/Approve an engagement letter with Stifel for future bond underwriting.
