There were 936 white students enrolled in Johnston City Community Unit School District 1 in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% more than the previous year, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

Data showed that Johnston City Community Unit School District 1 welcomed 1,104 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 90.3% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Johnston City Community Unit School District 1 roughly covers schools within Williamson County and has a main office in Johnston City.

Among the four schools in Johnston City Community Unit School District 1, Washington Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 288 students.
