Village of Yates City Board of Trustees met Jan. 26.
Here are the minutes provided by the board:
1. Call to Order: 6:00 p.m.
2. Roll Call:
Present: President Ken Vallas
Board Members: Mark Hostetler, Dave Mahr, Ron Smith, Seth Lekies, Matt Ehens.
Also present: Village Treasurer Joy Mahr, Village Clerk Debbie Canier
3. Possible approval of Village President Vallas and Trustee Mahr to negotiate a contract with TEST to provide 7 day per week service for water and waste water services and for Village President Vallas with Trustee Mahr’s approval to enter into a contract for 7 day per week services.
A Standard Agreement for the Management and Supervision for the Water Treatment Plant from TEST (Total Environmental Service Technologies, Inc.) was given previously to all Board Members to review. Any questions or further information needed was discussed. Smith approved Village President Vallas and Trustee Mahr to enter into a contract with TEST. Lekies seconded the motion. Roll call unanimous.
4. Possible approval of wage increases in the Public Works department.
A discussion was held for Bruce Brinker to have a wage increase to $16.50 per hour and Jordan Suits to have a wage increase to $18.00 per hour. Mahr made a motion to approve with Smith second. Roll call unanimous.
5. Adjournment:
Ehens made a motion to adjourn with Hostetler second. Meeting adjourned at 6:21 p.m.
