Illinois State Rep. Patrick Windhorst (R-Metropolis) recently shared updated contact information for his offices in Harrisburg and Springfield.
"I am happy to report that my offices in Harrisburg and Springfield are open and ready to serve the people of the 117th district," Windhorst wrote in a Feb. 8 Facebook post. "My team and I are working hard every day to connect residents with services critical to improving their lives and solving their problems. I encourage anyone needing services from the State of Illinois to contact my offices in Harrisburg or Springfield."
According to a release from Windhorst's website, constituents can contact Windhorst's Harrisburg office in person at 2 N. Vine, Suite 5A or by phone at (618) 294-8703. His Springfield office is now located at 314 Capitol Building and can be reached by phone at (217) 782-5131. Constituents can also reach him by email, at Windhorst@ILHouseGOP.org.
In early February, Windhorst was chosen to serve on a variety of Republican House committees, in addition to his duties as the House Republican Floor Leader, according to a press release. He will serve on the House Judiciary Criminal Law Committee as the Committee’s Minority Spokesman; he will also serve on the House Ethics and Elections Committee; and as a permanent member of the Economic Opportunity and Equity Committee and Minority Spokesman for the House Restorative Justice Committee.
Windhorst was sworn in as state representative for the newly created 117th District on Jan. 11. In a news release, he issued a statement:
“It is a distinct honor and privilege to serve the people of Southern Illinois in Springfield as state representative,” Windhorst said, according to the news release. “I have been a strong and steady advocate for Southern Illinois values, opposing expanded taxpayer abortions, opposing restrictive gun control measures and voting against every tax increase brought before the General Assembly. I have worked diligently to meet my constituents and other local elected officials where they are, to attend their events, to hear their concerns, and to represent their best interests in Springfield. I pledge to continue that work as the 117th District state representative.”
Windhorst was first elected to the Illinois House in 2018 and resides in Metropolis, according to the Illinois House. A Republican, his legislative experience includes serving on the Restorative Justice Committee and Judiciary - Criminal.
