The third quarter of 2021: Home prices in Makanda fell

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2021 in Makanda fell by $1,500 while total sales remained unchanged with four homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2021, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $157,450 - a 0.9% decrease over the $158,950 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were four homes sold in Makanda in the third quarter of 2020, as well.

The median sales tax in Makanda for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $2,828, approximately 1.8% of the median home sale price for the third quarter of 2021.
