State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-Harrisburg) recently joined fellow state Sens. Terri Bryant (R-Murphysboro) and Jason Plummer (R-Edwardsville) at Anna-Jonesboro Community High as part of their ongoing Regional Listening Tour.

The group is promoting the tour as a forum where downstate residents can be heard on the issues most critical to them and their communities.

“Together, Senator Fowler, Senator Plummer and I represent over two dozen of Southern Illinois’ counties," Bryant posted on Facebook. "We have such unique, diverse communities and represent residents who have different needs and perspectives. They all deserve to have a voice in their state government.”

Bryant said the decision to come together for their ongoing tour was an easy one to make.

“I wanted to host this event so that the collective voices of Southern Illinois could be heard by their lawmakers and to help us as legislators better represent the interest of Southern Illinois in the Senate," she added.

The next stop on the listening tour will be on Nov. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Café Bloom, 1104 Public Square, Benton.

Serving as the minority spokesperson on both the Senate Commerce and Higher Education committees, Fowler has served the 59th District since 2017.
