Carbondale Non-Bargaining Unit Employees Personnel Board recently issued the following announcement.
The officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to a business in the 900 block of east Main Street in reference to a burglary. During the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspects as Joseph Joiner, age 30 of Murphysboro, and Jeannean Fournier-Wenz, age 47 of Carbondale.
Officers located Joiner and Fournier-Wenz in Carbondale and arrested them for burglary. After consulting with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Joiner and Fournier-Wenz were released pending a court appearance. This investigation is still ongoing and active.
