Rick Pierson reported that the Grand Tower Levee is completed.

Agency Reports

Peterson reported:

The Greater Egypt commission met by zoom on January 12, 2021. The staff has coordinated a list of 70 available properties as possible business development sites within the five county region. With the new funding for rural transportation planning, the Lochmueller Group has been hired to develop a long range transportation plan.

The SIMPO Policy Committee met by zoom on January 11, 2021.The estimated metropolitan transportation planning funds apportioned for the Carbondale Urbanized Area for Fiscal Year 2022 is $284,267.02. This includes local matching funds. The committee approved a multimodal transportation study for the City of Marion. The Committee also approved an Air Service

feasibility study for Veteran's Airport of Southern Illinois (MWA) to Chicago O'Hare International airport (ORD) to establish commercial airline service.

Erbes reported:

The UCCI board is considering a tour of the Southern half of the state. Hoping the 1st regular meeting can be in person or partially in person.

Mueller reported:

JGA is planning to do a Webinar on February 8, 2021 at noon. Man-Tra-Con has extra funds available for their apprenticeship program and they will move to their new location in the Greater Egypt facility when it is built.

Hagston reported:

The Health Department is still concentrating on the Vaccination campaign. They are vaccinating 2 days a week at about 480 people per day. Moving into Phase 4 with 25% capacity for most places. They are doing a weekly update every Friday which can be found on their web site or will go out through the Emergency Management System.

A motion was made by J.S. Rendleman, seconded by Phillips to approve 21-5689 the approval of FY21 Jackson Growth Alliance Funding Request in the amount of $10,000 with the Obligation to Report in writing and in person to the Committee on a Quarterly Basis on how the money is being used in the County. (No vote was taken)

Basden suggested to amend 21-5689 from Quarterly to Bi-Monthly, motion failed due to no second.

Motion by J.S. Rendleman, seconded by Phillips to approve as is 21-5689. Roll Call vote carries as follows:
