African American Museum of Southern Illinois recently issued the following announcement.
The fall season just brings about such a cozy vibe. I always love redecorating parts of my home during this time of year to make it feel more homey! Here are a some of the tips I’ve found to be most helpful when it comes to making your home feel warm and inviting for fall: Add fall foliage.
Choose leaves, branches, and pumpkins to bring the season’s vibe into your home. Before you go out and buy, use what you have! Do you have any foliage in your yard? Add to a vase or centerpiece you already have in your home. Do what you can to DIY here and it will seem to “fit” even more! Add some warm accents – think red or orange pillows, foliage or candles to bring the warmth of the season into your home.
You could also add some cozy throws to your chairs and couch. Pick up a few fall scented candles. You could also bake pumpkin bread or make some chili in the crockpot. Swap out summer bedding and shades for thicker, warmer linens. Mix textures and layer rugs for a warmer, homier vibe!
I hope these tips help you create a cozy, warm home for fall! We will likely be spending lots of our time at home, so why not make it somewhere you enjoy being?!
