City of Herrin City Council met Aug. 24.

Here is the agenda provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER -  FRATTINI, MAYOR

PRAYER: Matt Crain, Shawnee Christian

MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING: AUGUST 10, 2020

FINANCE: Approve Accounts Payable - PAUL YORK, CHAIRMAN

NEW BUSINESS:

1. Ordinance 27-2020 Granting a Rezone from R-2 Single Family to R-4 Multi-Family for 312 S. 13th Street.

2. Ordinance 28-2020 Granting a Variance for 515 S. 26th St. to install a modular home less than 1,200 sq. ft.

3. Ordinance 29-2020 Amending Chapter 15, Section 1 of the Herrin Revised Code of Ordinances.

4. Ordinance 30-2020 Amending Chapter 40 of the Herrin Revised Code of Ordinances Pertaining to Adult-Use Cannabis.

5. Appoint David Dorris to the 911 WCJETSB for an unexpired term ending January 1, 2023.

6. Award Bid-WWTP 145 Sewage Pump Replacement.

7. Authorize City Lake #2 to be published for sale and set minimum purchase requirements.

8. Appoint Ben Hindman & Travis Davie as Full-time Patrolmen and Tristan Houseworth as Full-time Dispatcher effective September 2, 2020.
