Arcola Community Unified School District 306 Board Finance Committee met June 24.
Here is the minutes provided by the committee:
Present: Tom Mulligan, Superintendent; Board Members: Dr. Robert Arrol, Lucas Shonkwiler, Sue Stout, Craig Wesch, Jim Crane and Chad Strader; Visitors: Greg Frost – Opaa, Jeff Schroeder – Illinois Trust, Mike Lindenmeyer – Lindenmeyer Insurance, and Dave Porter.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 pm.
Dr. Mulligan introduced Mike Lindenmeyer from Lindenmeyer Insurance. He provided information of terrorism coverage, options for additional Cyber security protection and annual bidding.
Dr. Mulligan next introduced Greg Frost from Opaa Food Management. Mr. Frost presented an overview on how the cafeteria would work if Opaa was selected as the contract food management company.
Dr. Mulligan then introduced Jeff Schroder from Illinois Trust. He provided an overview to the board regarding the current and near future investment climate. He also provided some information on current liquid rates and also some short term CD rates.
Dr. Mulligan then provided the committee with an overview of an updated construction budget as it compares with the original construction budget. He indicated that because we are currently under budget, he plans to recommend an electronic sign for the new elementary school entrance.
The finance committee meeting adjourned at 8:55 pm.
