Transportation, education, social service programs, and city improvement projects in Carbondale are just a few public services at risk of losing millions in federal funding.
Only 46.2% of households in Carbondale had responded to a 2020 Census survey as of Aug. 17, the Carbondale Chamber of Commerce reported. The city encourages residents to complete the survey so they can continue to receive the essential services that are available to the community. For every resident who doesn’t respond, Carbondale will lose approximately $1,600 every year for the next 10 years.
It takes approximately five minutes to complete the survey and all information provided remains confidential.
