Trico Community Unit School District 176 Board met April 20.

Board President, Mrs. Lois Jones called the regular meeting of the Trico Board of Education in the Trico Superintendent’s office or via ZOOM online at 6:30 pm. Members present were Mr. Gerald Speith, Mr. Dan Carson, Mrs. Stephanie King, Mr. Robert Kranawetter, Mrs. Jaime Lodge, Mr. Michael Baker and President Lois Jones. Absent: None.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the following Consent Agenda:

1. Approve the minutes for the March 16, 2020 regular board meeting 

2. Approve the Bills for April 2020 

3. Approve the Activity Fund Report for March 2019 

4. Approve Monthly Financial Statement for March 2019 

5. Approve Substitute List for March 2020 

6. Approve Monthly Enrollment as of April 13, 2020 

7. Approve Student Discipline Report - None Yes: Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the amended 2019-2020 school calendar as presented. Yes: Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Speith moved, second by Mr. Carson to approve the calendar for the 2020-2021 school year as presented. Yes: King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Kranawetter moved, second by Mrs. Lodge to accept the resignation of Mrs. Kristen Martin, as presented. Yes: Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Carson to approve the posting for a regular education 5th grade elementary teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. Yes: Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. Lodge moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the recommendation to voluntarily transfer Mrs. Leah Cook from third grade regular education teacher to the EL Specialist posted position for the 2020-2021 school year. Yes: Baker, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Jones. Abstain: Speith. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Baker to approve the agreement with ROE#30 regarding COPE for the 2020- 2021 school year. Yes: Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mrs. Lodge to approve the agreement with the ROE#30 regarding Project SOAR for the 2020-2021 school year. Yes: King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Kranawetter moved, second by Mr. Baker to accept the resignation of Mr. Cole Rieckenberg from Trico High School Junior Varsity Boys Basketball Coach, effective immediately. Yes: Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mrs. Lodge to approve the posting for the position of Trico High Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach for the 2020-2021 season. Yes: Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.
