Trico Community Unit School District 176 Board of Education met March 16.

Board President, Mrs. Lois Jones called the regular meeting of the Trico Board of Education in the Trico Media Center at 6:30 pm. Members present were Mr. Gerald Speith, Mr. Dan Carson, Mrs. Stephanie King, Mr. Robert Kranawetter, Mrs. Jaime Lodge, Mr. Michael Baker and President Lois Jones. Absent: None.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mrs. Lodge to approve the following Consent Agenda:

1. Approve the minutes for the February 20, 2020 regular board meeting 

2. Approve the Bills for March 2020 

3. Approve the Activity Fund Report for February 2019 

4. Approve Monthly Financial Statement for February 2019 

5. Approve Substitute List for February 2020 

6. Approve Monthly Enrollment as of March12, 2020

Mrs. Lodge moved, second by Mr. Speith to approve the changes for Trico High School Math sequencing for the 2020-2021 school year. Yes: Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. King moved, second by Mr. Kranawetter to approve the resolution to abate the taxes levied to pay debt services on General Obligation School Bonds (Alternative Revenue Source) Series 2019 of the District. Yes: King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mrs. Lodge moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the annual membership with the IHSA for the 2020-2021 school year. Yes: Lodge, Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Kranawetter moved, second by Mrs. King to approve the recommendation for Heartland Mechanical to install the HVAC systems in the Gerald Speith Auditorium and the junior/senior high cafeteria for the base bid of $349,100 to be completed on or before July 1, 2020. Yes: Baker, Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Carson moved, second by Mr. Baker to approve to accept “sealed bids with no minimum bid” for the 5 unused Trico School buses, as is. Yes: Speith, Carson, King, Kranawetter, Lodge, Baker, Jones. No: None. Motion carried.

Mr. Kranawetter moved, second by Mrs. King to enter into executive session to consider information regarding collective bargaining matters, the appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance or dismissal of specific employees.
