Seeing a quorum present, the Board of Education of Community unit School District No. 3 met Monday
November 18, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. at the Crab Orchard School in the Conference Room for a regular board meeting.

Tax Levy Hearing
A motion by Killman and seconded by Anderson to conduct a Public hearing for the 2019 Payable in 2020
Tax levy in compliance with the “Truth in Taxation” Act.

1. Approve Property and Casualty and Worker’s Compensation Insurance.
A motion by Bailey and seconded by Killman to approve Gary Hill as the insurance agent of record, Illinois Counties Risk Management Trust for Property, Auto and General Liability, Illinois Public Risk Fund for Worker’s Compensation, and AmWINS Brokerage of the Midwest for Excess Earthquake beginning December 1, 2019, for a sum of $91,800, a decrease of $9,837.

2. Principal’s Report

The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees of the District or legal counsel for the District, including hearing testimony on a complaint lodged against an employee or against legal counsel for the District to determine its validity. 5 ILCS 120/2©(11), as amended by P.A. 93-0057.
11. Litigation, when an action against, affecting or on behalf of the particular District has been filed and is pending before a court or administrative tribunal, or when the District finds that an action is probable or imminent, in which case the basis for the finding shall be recorded and entered into the closed meeting minutes. 5 ILCS 120/2©(11).
