July-Dec. 2018 Recap: Parolees in Marion convicted of financial crimes or fraud

There were two offenders convicted of financial crimes or fraud released on parole in Marion during the second half of 2018, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by the Carbondale Reporter.

The data shows that a man and woman were released in Marion. The younger parolee was a 26-year-old man sentenced in 2018. The other was a 31-year-old woman sentenced in 2018.

The offender who was incarcerated the longest was Tyler C. Sanders. He was convicted of a financial crime or fraud in 2018 when he was 25 years old. He is now 26.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.

The table below shows the 50 cities in Illinois with the most paroled offenders during the second half of 2018 who were convicted of financial crimes or fraud.
