De Soto home prices fall in the second half of 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in the second half of 2017 in De Soto fell by $13,100 while total sales increased by 160%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through December of 2017, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $64,000 - a 17% decrease over the $77,100 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were five homes sold in De Soto in the second half of 2016.

The median sales tax in De Soto for 2017 was $1,754. In 2016, the median sales tax was $1,754, as well. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 2.7%.
