The campaign committee of judge (Appellate Court/5th District) candidate Brad Bleyer, Committee to Elect Bleyer 5th District Appellate Judge, returned a $1,000 contribution from Mack's Lake of Egypt Marina LLC on Jan. 17, according to the Illinois State Board of Elections.

Candidates sometimes refuse or return contributions because they do not want their campaign to be affiliated with the donor. Mack's Lake of Egypt Marina LLC has not made any other contributions to Brad Bleyer in the past 12 months.
